Hey all. Just want to list a few problems that keep coming up.
). A lot of you have not submitted work for Module 6. The due date was July 8th and I left it open an extra week (as I do all modules). I e-mailed all of you to submit the work and some was still not submitted. The module is now closed.
). You were all given and have access to a pacing guide. This was for your benefit and I have allowed a lot of leeway. If you fall a week behind your likely going to fail. Some of you have communicated with me and it is appreciated, when you will be submitting late, others of you don't seem to care. If you want me to care about your grade, you have to.
). You only need 80 percent completed to pass so those of you who missed out on module 6, be sure not to miss anymore!
). Labeling is getting better (i.e.: ssc_6.01_briansharar) however all of you are still not saving it the same way. The title or label and the way you save it should be the exact same way! I did see that a few of the lessons told you to title it a different way that I requested. (it was frustrating for me too seeing that!) However, I did accept either way and will continue to.
). Be sure to follow instructions. Some of you have not!
). The journals are dissapointing. Please remember that you should have a journal that begins with the first day of class (June 14th) and each time you submit it it should be submitted in its entireity up to and including the due date. List all exercises (quit being vague) and there should be a reflection question after each journal entry. Be honest in what you are doing, some of you are not and I can tell by just looking at what you say you have been doing. You are only hurting yourself by not getting out and exercising the way you desribe. Those of you who are: FANTASTIC! Remember it is a requirement.
). I will personally be in the Library this coming Tuesday (July 20th) from 8:00 -12:00 if you need anything or have questions you want answered in person.
). Please understand that with 39 people in this class, submitting 15 assignments each module, means that I have nearly 600 assignments to grade EACH module! As you have seen I look at all of them and that takes time. Be patient and I will get everything graded. Remember that if you following instructions and turn assignments in on time you wont have to worry about if you got credit or not for any particular assignement.
). Keep up the hard work! I know its time consuming, but you are learning a lot more about physical education in this class than in any other PE class you ever took and getting it done and credit for in 6 weeks instead of 36 weeks! Of course its harder!
